동•서양의 미술과 예술인들의 대화를 위한 모색

깃발전에 대하여…

바람이 많은 샌버나디노(캘리포니아)의 예술사랑 야외 특별 전시장에서 한국의 예술인과 미국의 예술가 3백 여명의 작가들이 2013년 11월 22(금) – 11월24(일)까지(3일간) 작가들의 작품 이미지를 깃발에 담아 깃봉에 메달아 바람에 예술인들의 화합된 만남과 그 예술의 창조적 정신을 기뻐하며 날릴 것 입니다. 서로간의 교유를 나누는 그 기쁨의 정을 담아 날릴 것 입니다. 예술성의 창조를 공유하며 새로운 것을 모색하기 위하여 그 개성 넘치는 작품의 이미지를 바람에 실려 펄럭이게 할 것 입니다.

3백인의 예술인들의 정신을 담아 샌버나디노의 창공에 휘날릴 것 입니다. 깃발”전을 통하여 예술가들의 화합된 또 하나의 우의적 모습과 창조를 탐닉하는 그 개개인의 감정”들을 발견할 수 있을 것 이며 하나로 뭉쳐진 감동”그 자체로 바람에 실리워 날리게 될 것 입니다. 이것이 바로 깃발”전을 갖게 된 이유입니다.

깃발을 세워 바람이 불지 않는다면 아무리 그 깃발의 작품 이미지가 아름답다 하여도 깃발의 진정한 의미는 사라질 것 입니다. 강력한 바람이 있어야 깃발”의 펄럭임이 창공에 휘날리게 될 것 입니다. 부는 바람은 눈에 보이지 않습니다.

깃발이 펄럭일 때 바람의 정체가 드러나게 되며 그 바람을 타고 작가들의 정신을 넓게 날리게 될 것 입니다.
비록 눈에는 보이지는 않을지라도 예술인들에게 꼭 필요한 창작 모색의 원동력으로 환원될 것 이라 생각됩니다. 이번 깃발전에 참가하시는 모든 장르의 작가 여러분! 우리모두 동,서양의 마음을 한곳에 모아 그 깃발을 통하여 화합된 예술의 모습과 창작성의 우수함과 그 창조를 위한 탐색의 교유를 우리 모두가 아름답고 우아하게 끝없이 펼쳐진 샌버나디노의 창공에 날려보시지 않겠습니까?

이것이 깃발전을 갖는 이유입니다.

About the Flag Exhibition…

I would like to invite you to our 2013 Vergil America’s special exhibition at Ye Sool Sa Rang Gallery’s Outdoor Exhibition Center in the windy land of San Bernardino, California on November 22^th-24^th, 2013. Over 300 Korean and American artists will display their artwork on a flag and wave their creative spirit away with the wind. We will fly it away to celebrate the joining of artists with happiness. We will fly it away with an overflowing joy from exchanged friendship. Lastly, we will fly away the unique individualities of the artists as we share their artistry and creativity, seeking for new ideas to come.

300 artists will fly their spirits and mind to the blue sky of San Bernardino. Through this exhibition, we hope to build a harmonious friendship among various artists yet to search for individual’s desire for new creation. Our heart will be deeply touched from this joining and that is the very reason why we are having this flag exhibition.

Let’s say there is a flag standing with a beautiful image. However, without the wind to flutter the flag away, there will be no point of putting up the flag. There must be the presence of strong wind in order to see the image in the flag rapidly flapping in the blue sky. Our eyes cannot visually see the wind. Yet, we can only sense the presence when we see the flag dancing and waving by the wind. In this way we can only sense the spirit of each artists from the presence of this wind.

Although we might not be able to see it, the wind will work as the driving force to find a way to creativity.

To all the artists who will participate in this exhibition!
Let’s unite our mind from the East and the West to show the true image of creativity and excellence of united arts. Would you join as we explore our friendship and fly up to the endless blue sky of San Bernardino? Again, this truly explains why we’re having our flag exhibition.
