Hantastic Artist Art Master Seong – hoon Han to go New York Sotheby’s Special Exhibition

New York Sotheby’s recommended several galleries such as Dacia Gallery, Agora Gallary, Gain Brown Enterprise and etc. to art-master Seong-hoon Han. Dacia Galley is known for representing emerging talent and a providing a strong structure of collectors in Manhattan, New York comparing to other places of other countries.

Dacia Gallery has chosen Seong-hoon Han as a representative artist, which is a distinct honor for him as an Asian artist because this is not just a one-time invitation but continuous exposure to the art public in Manhattan. It also increases his prestige in his own country.

Not only Junho Bong in movies and BTS in music but also Seong-hoon Han’s name in art is fast spreading to art related people in New York.

As said, the title of “Fantastic Artist Seong-hoon Han” became “’Hantastic Artist Seong-hoon Han” for art specilists, which demonstrates just how much the high quality of his art made an aesthetic impact on those who were fortunate enough to encounter it at the Smithsonian’s elegant Flushing Town Hall venue.

A New Yorker visited unexpectedly his exhibition and commented, “I didn’t know such a beautiful and touching artwork existed in this earth.” His first New York show this past March made a powerful impression on the connoisseurs  and collectors of New York, a hometown of contemporary art.

Dacia Gallery is going to show a private invitation exhibition “Tick” of world-class artwork  in August 2nd through 22nd for 3 weeks under the title of “Representative Artist Seong-hoon Han” furthemore whenever it has any exhibition in the major art cities such as Paris, London, Sinpapore, Honkong and big cities of USA, his artwork will be shown.

“Tick” refers to  the sound of a heart-beat.
According to Mr. Han, his painting suggests that the interior sound of people goes through their own cosmic space connecting with the sound of heart-beat which is like life itself, a driving force showing courage and productive activity.

If you see “Tick” artwork only in plain paper reproduction or on the computer screen you would be removed from it because it is delivered to just flat image.

When you see Seong-hoon Han’s artwork “Tick” directly standing before you, then two meanings of exclamation will be presented to you. One is a relief, the other is a movement. This three dimensional sense of material as a relief is like a half sculpture or bas-relief. He has studied the figures of coins by expression of not carving but protruding from the surface. Even light and shade playing upon the raised, painted surface are a part Han’s intended effect of the artwork.

This is a technique of seemingly moving stars as you are watching his painting. Viewers seem to find a star or stars as the main characters in the painting advancing forward to themselves. In the end, his painting becomes a verb not a noun. He loves the verb very much. It is said, “A living person moves continuously!  A person who doesn’t have a verb is only the dead.”

This is a note from artist Seong-hoon Han and it is the reason why “Tick” was born to say the world.

One collector said, “When my appreciating his large “Tick” painting more than 9 feet, I am walking into the cosmos and then stars’ coming to me. I couldn’t express myself with respect what to say how much he had his tears and sweat to create this level alone for long time. And I was moved so much in its beauty with goose bumps and a desperate compassion.

After getting over this CVD 19 disaster, we are waiting for what Seong-hoon Han’s art brings when smashing the whole world in the maelstrom of his esthetic movement.
