Hyung Jun Jung’s figurative techniques takes long time to labor for an intensive work of soil. His paintings have the delicate and accurate process of making an abstract canvas and variety figurative image is made by a coincidence of crack and formation. These <Play of Soil> series tells us the beauty of pure figurative paintings and mysteries of nature. His paintings let us consider human in nature through the notion of soil and value the modern paintings as the eternities. An aesthetic purity and groper of orientalism with soil become important concepts in his <Play of Soil> series. His endurance and effort should have a storm of applause. On the other hand the possibility that would fall into mannerism of soil work is pointed out.
