Welcome to the New Era of Vergil America
As we step into 2025, I am both grateful and excited to share news of Vergil America’s next chapter with all of you. After a challenging hiatus of five years, during which we faced numerous obstacles, our publication returns—thanks to the unwavering support of our dedicated staff, artists, and loyal readers who believe in our mission and vision.
When we founded Vergil America in 2004, our goal was clear: to bring remarkable Korean artists to the attention of a global audience. Yet, sustaining a quarterly publication proved to be challenging, with various obstacles and financial difficulties affecting the consistency of our issues. Regrettably, instead of the many issues we had hoped to publish, we were often forced to pause production. I have always felt a deep sense of gratitude towards our readers, whose patience and encouragement have been a source of strength for us.
As we look forward to a new era, we are committed to creating Vergil America with renewed dedication and a fresh perspective. Starting in 2025, Vergil America will publish twice a year, allowing us to deliver thoughtful and inspiring content with greater focus and consistency. We remain true to our foundational spirit of nurturing artistic expression, discovering exceptional artists, and fostering creative talent, both emerging and established.
I extend my sincerest thanks to each of you who has journeyed with us through our trials and triumphs. Your steadfast support is invaluable, and we are excited to bring you meaningful content that reflects our shared passion for art and creativity. Thank you for your continued encouragement, and I look forward to embarking on this new chapter together with you.
Warm regards,
Won Lee
President, Vergil America
