Vergil International Association of the Artists
I. The General Rules
1. The title of the association will be named as “Vergil International Association of the Artists” and its abbreviation as “VIAA”.
2. The purpose of the association
Vergil International Association of the Artists (VIAA) aims to promote a culture of fine arts by creating an open space for various artists to exchange each country’s arts and culture. Vergil scouts and selects excellent artists who are concentration an artwork based on creativitiy with various genres of artss and culture. The association also seeks to nurture and to support the artists through exhibitions and active interchange among the artists.
3. The headquarters of the association will be located at: 2945 W. 15th St. Los Angeles, CA 90006 U.S.A, Tel: (818) 434- 7731
4. The project of the association includes:
1) Publication of Vergil Magazine (Quarterly)
2) Participation and recommending various programs for the artists.
(i.e. participation of International Art Fairs)
3) Annual exhibition hosted by VIAA in U.S., Korea, and abroad.
4) Opening events such as an international arts invitation hosted by the U.S. headquarters to build relations between international artists and to support their artword.
5) Hostion open exhibition for international arts invitations.
6) Actively supporting any member interested in opening an exhibition or any event with regard to the fine arts.
II. Menbership
5. The membership of our association is divided into a regular member and an hoborary memver.
6. Qualifications
a) Regular member: Any creative artists with an original idea will be qualified as a regular memver regardlee of age, gender, award history, and educational background. A person also may be qualified for a memvership by associaition’s recommendation.
b) Hoborary member: Any person or an organization that are committed to the development of VIAA and are willing to actively participate and contribute to the work of our association will be qualified as an honorary member.
7. The rights and the responsibility of the members
a) All members have the rights to participate in annual VIAA exhibition.
b) All members have the rights to register their work at out quarterly magazine in order to promote their own private exhibitions.
c) All members are responsible to participate in exhibition events hosted by VIAA.
d) All members receive updated on the current trends of art culture around the world and have the access to various exhibition events.
e) All members are required to pay the registration & annual membership fee
f) As a member of Vergil member, all members have the right to promote their own artwork through VIAA’s magazines and websites.
8. Withdrawl and disqualification from membership
a) Any member can discontinue membership and time once he/she notifies the association of his/her withdrawal. However, all the documents and the registration fee cannot be returned.
b) Any member can be disqualified if he/she causes substantial damage to the association and may be responsible for the damage or loss.
9. Any member who contributes their service to advance the development of the pop culture will be recognized and awarded.
a) The recognized member will receive a certificate, cash prize and will be able to coordinate a private exhibition in overseas.
b) Letter of appreciation and appointment for their service.
III. Board member
10. The board members of VIAA are as listed:
a) The President
b) The Directors (one in each branch)
c) The manager of department (one in each department)
d) Executive Secretary
1. Job description of each borad memver is as follew:
a) The president’s responsibility includes overseeing the complete operation of an organization, directing special meetings with other executive directors and leaders in order to create, communicate, and implement the organization’s vision, mission and overall direction.
b) The directors of each branch is appointed by the president of the association and is responsible for assisting the president’s job and duties.
c) The managers of each department is responsible for evaluating the direction of the association and managing all the cultural events with each members of the association.
IV. General Meeting
12. Types of general meeting:
a) Annual general meeting
b) special meeting
c) Department meeting
13. Convocation
a) The annual general meeting can be held by the president on January of each year.
b) The special meetings can be held by the president, branch directors or department managers
c) Department meetings can be held by the department managers when is needed with majority of association members agreeing the necessity of the meeting.
d) When scheduling any meetings, a written report stating the purpose and the agenda of the meeting must be reported. The letter must be sent out to the members 7 days prior to the meeting date.
14. The general meeting is established when majority of the members are present and decisions are made by a majority vote.

15. The VIAA is divided into 6 deartments.
a) Painting (Western painting)
b) Engraving & Printing
c) Ceramics (modern pottery)
d) Crafts (woodwork, metal crafts)
e) Folk painting
f) Photography
g) Sculpture
16. Each committee focuses on promoting the VIAA worldwide.
a) Public Relations
b) Event planning
c) Event operations
d) International Relations
Membership Registration
Any artist who would like to join the membership is required
1) to pay the admission fee $300.00 and an annual fee $100.00
2) Submit 2 photos.
3) Submit 2 photos of your recent artwork, name, size and the year of the artwork.
4) Description of the artwork (200 words 5-7 pages) and artist’s biography.
5) Membership application (1 copy)
